Responsibilities

• You will support our experienced Data Scientists and Machine Learning Engineers in developing deep learning algorithms in the field of computer vision and industrial image processing.
• You will evaluate and compare different methods (e.g., neural networks, classical image processing) for detecting and classifying known and unknown defects on products manufactured in the plant.
• You will contribute to the integration of this software solution into an existing manufacturing value stream.

Requirements

• Studies in Computer Science, Data Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable field
• High self-motivation, independent work style, and team spirit
• Advanced programming skills in Python and experience in Computer Vision (e.g., OpenCV)
• Strong interest in automation and deep learning
• Good German and English language skills, both written and spoken

Internship Details

• Start Date: From July 2026
• Duration: Minimum 6 months
• Prerequisite for the internship is enrollment at a university. Please include your CV, current transcript of records, current enrollment certificate, your study regulations, and, if applicable, a valid work and residence permit (residence permit, supplementary sheet to the residence permit) with your application.
