Reporting to the President of WBE Canada, as part of the Fast Track to Supply Chains Initiative, the Marketing Specialist will play a key role in driving WBE Canadas digital marketing strategy and campaign performance, using CRM, marketing automation, and lead generation to expand reach and engagement.
This cross-functional role will lead integrated campaigns, support CRM and analytics initiatives, and ensure consistent data tracking to grow WBE Canadas audience and strengthen engagement across programs, events, and initiatives.
About the Role:
As a key member of WBE Canada, you will:
Digital Lead Generation & Campaign Management
- Lead the marketing execution of key organizational projects, partnering with internal stakeholders to develop and deliver national campaigns that drive awareness, inquiries, and applications;
- Lead digital conversion strategies to expand WBE Canadas audience;
- Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns to support webinars, programs, education series, events, and key organizational projects, including national awareness and engagement initiatives;
- Develop and implement always-on lead generation strategies using email, landing pages, paid media, and content marketing;
- Develop and monitor marketing funnels and digital campaigns, ensuring timelines, KPIs, and deliverables are met;
- Monitor and report on campaign performance including lead generation, conversion rates, and cost per lead;
- Identify opportunities to improve audience growth through data insights, testing, and optimization;
CRM, Data & Analytics
- Support the ongoing CRM refresh and data improvement initiatives across the organization;
- Maintain marketing tracking tools and shared reporting structures to ensure consistent data collection;
- Assist internal teams to ensure campaign tagging, data entry, and month end reporting is completed accurately and on time;
- Assist in building dashboards and reports to track marketing performance, prospect pipeline growth, and engagement;
- Identify data gaps and recommend process improvements to support data-driven decision-making;
Email Marketing & Campaign Management
- Lead the planning and execution of external email marketing campaigns for events, programs, and organizational initiatives;
- Manage audience segmentation, automation, and workflows;
- Develop email strategies aligned with campaign goals and audience lifecycle;
- Monitor performance metrics and recommend optimizations to improve engagement and conversion;
- Ensure integration between email campaigns, CRM, and digital event platforms;
Content & Digital Communications
- Support external communications including website content, social media, and digital publications;
- Write and edit marketing content including email copy, website content, blog posts, and social media content;
- Support SEO content including page titles, descriptions, and website content updates;
- Work with internal teams and contributors to develop longer-form content and publications;
Landing Pages & Digital Execution
- Working with Operations Team on developing content for landing pages for campaigns, events, prospect funnels, and lead generation initiatives;
- Working with Operations Team to ensure pages are optimized for user experience, conversion, and tracking;
- Coordinate with the digital team to ensure analytics and reporting are properly implemented;
Social Media & Community Engagement
- Manage WBE Canadas social media channels using a content calendar to plan and schedule content;
- Monitor and engage with digital communities and social channels to grow awareness and engagement;
- Provide monthly reporting on social media and digital channel performance, focusing on KPIs such as website traffic and marketing-qualified leads;
Cross-Team Collaboration & Marketing Support
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver integrated marketing campaigns across the organization;
- Support marketing for online and in-person events, awareness campaigns, and organizational initiatives;
- Collaborate with Business Development and Community teams to align marketing with organizational offerings and audience needs;
- Help improve internal marketing processes, workflows, and campaign coordination;
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing efficiency through better use of data, automation, and digital tools;
- Support the adoption of new marketing technologies and analytics tools;
- Contribute to the ongoing improvement of digital engagement strategies;
Other
- Actively support the planning, preparation and production of all In-Person Events including the National Conference and other events are needed;
- Execute other duties and responsibilities as assigned;
- 15% travel as required;
What you bring to the table:
- Post-secondary education in Marketing, Digital Marketing, or a related field;
- Fully bilingual (English and French) with strong verbal and written communication skills
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, marketing operations, or campaign management;
- Experience with CRM platforms (e.g., ActiveCampaign, Salesforce, HubSpot or similar);
- Hands-on experience with CMS platforms, landing pages, and website or data optimization projects;
- Proven experience executing multi-channel campaigns, including email marketing, automation, lead generation, paid media, and event marketing;
- Experience managing paid digital campaigns (e.g., Meta, Google) and social media advertising;
- Strong understanding of data, analytics, and reporting tools to measure performance and drive insights;
- Proficiency with tools such as WordPress, Canva, HTML/CSS, SEO, PPC, and social media platforms;
- Strong content development skills, including writing and editing for digital channels (email, web, blog, and social);
- Experience working in a nonprofit or fundraising environment is considered an asset;
