About the role
As the Workday HCM Sr Product Owner, your role involves defining, prioritizing, and delivering product capabilities across the Workday ecosystem. You will be responsible for executing the product vision, roadmap, backlog, and delivery for Workday HCM and associated modules. Your success will be measured by the quality and readiness of user stories, sprint velocity, and effective coordination of dependencies to ensure timely delivery of product features and cross-team coordination. • *Key Responsibilities:** - Build and prioritize the Agile team backlog based on business value, technical dependencies, and risk. - Define user stories, acceptance criteria, and test conditions to ensure scalability and alignment with product governance. - Evaluate integration requests for feasibility, scalability, and alignment to platform standards. - Facilitate synchronization meetings with other product owners and mentor peers. - Validate complete user stories for acceptance criteria and quality expectations. - Support product managers in creating and managing product vision and technical roadmaps. - Align with peer Product Owners during planning increments to manage dependencies. - Ensure clear documentation of system interfaces, data flows, and support processes. • *Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's Degree (required) - 5 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 3 years of related experience. - 4 - 5+ Years Relevant Product Management, Product Owner, Business Analyst, and System Analyst or Architecture/Software Engineer experience in an agile software product development environment. - Strong technical writing and requirements elicitation skills. - Experience with Agile tools and methodologies. - Experience with LucidChart, PlantUML, Visio, Jira, Confluence. - Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. - Experience with writing and elaborating Features and User Stories. - Experience with Workday Core HCM and Modules (e.g., Talent, Payroll) and Prism. - Experience with Jira and Airtable.
