The Common Ground Project USA didn’t begin as a business plan. It began during COVID — at a time when the world felt isolated, divided, and disconnected. What started as live-streamed content on social media quickly became something more meaningful. While many creators focused on entertainment alone, one question kept coming up: “If I’m going to create content… shouldn’t it have purpose?” That purpose became The Common Ground Podcast. As founder John “PhillyGoLive” Fletcher approached his 50th birthday, he made a decision: this would not simply be another chapter of life — it would be his second act. And that second act would matter. What began as a podcast idea evolved into something much larger: The Common Ground Project USA — a growing media and community platform built around one core mission: Bringing humanity back to the forefront through stories, talents, and community.

Our Mission

We believe the world has become increasingly divided. Too often, people only associate with others who think, act, and believe exactly as they do. Differences are treated as threats instead of opportunities to understand one another. We reject that mindset. At The Common Ground Project USA, we believe every person has value, every story matters, and meaningful conversation can still bring people together. Our organization is built on three core pillars:

1. Unity Through Personal Stories Every perspective is shaped by lived experience. To truly understand someone, we must first understand their story. We create conversations that allow people to share experiences honestly, openly, and respectfully — even when perspectives differ.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience or interest in content creation, journalism, podcasting, social media, or media production
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Comfortable interacting with online communities and live audiences
• Passion for storytelling and authentic conversation
• Basic understanding of social media platforms and audience engagement

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with video/audio editing
• Graphic design or thumbnail creation experience
• Writing or blogging experience
• Live streaming or moderation experience
• Marketing or SEO knowledge
• Public speaking or interviewing experience

Position Details
