Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our real estate firm. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting regulations, preparing financial reports, and managing budgets specific to real estate transactions and operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers for all real estate transactions.
  • Handle day-to-day accounting activities including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and journal entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage project-wise cost tracking and budgeting.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations (TDS, GST, Income Tax, etc.).
  • Prepare financial documentation and support for audits.
  • Process payroll and employee reimbursements.
  • Manage rent collection, security deposit tracking, and tenant account management (for rental portfolios).
  • Coordinate with property managers, legal, and operations teams to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Work with external consultants for statutory filings, audits, and other financial requirements.
  • Generate MIS reports and offer actionable financial insights to management.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA Inter preferred).
  • Proven experience (2+ years) in accounting, preferably in the real estate sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, or Zoho Books.
  • Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance requirements.
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, and Word.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • High attention to detail and integrity.
