Were currently recruiting for 2x Accountants/Bookkeepers to join a UK-based Accountancy firm located in Brackenfell, Cape Town. This position offers a competitive salary of R25,000 to R35,000 per month, and were seeking candidates with strong accounting experience in a practice setting. The role requires proficiency in Xero and fluency in Afrikaans, with minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting firm.
Key Responsibilities: • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. • Conduct financial analysis to provide insights and recommendations to senior management. • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare tax returns. • Monitor and manage company budgets and forecasts. • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits. • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets. • Assist in the development of financial policies and procedures. • Provide financial advice and support to other departments. • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations. • Prepare accounts using Xero.
Key Requirements: • Minimum 3 years experience working for an accounting firm. • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using Xero. • Must live in the Northern Suburbs (no remote work available). • Fluent in Afrikaans. • Must have your own car.
Qualifications & Experience: • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. • 5+ years experience in accounting or finance roles, with 3+ years in an accounting practice. • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in cloud-based accounting systems, especially Xero. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
