We are seeking a motivated AI Engineer with a solid background in software engineering and a thorough understanding of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) techniques. This role will involve close collaboration with mission stakeholders to capture requirements, streamline planning processes, and improve certification procedures through the integration of AI/ML tools. Additionally, you will leverage AI/ML to create tools that enhance vulnerability identification and mitigation through fine-tuned Large Language Models (LLM).
Responsibilities
- Work alongside technical leaders to design, develop, and maintain LLM orchestration frameworks that integrate static analyzers, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and automated testing frameworks.
- Build and optimize data preprocessing pipelines for product documentation, source code, and test results to prepare them for LLM use.
- Create database solutions to support RAG architectures, artifact storage, audit trails, and metadata management.
- Collaborate with systems engineers to architect and deploy AI tools in secure environments, performing performance profiling, optimization, and scalability analysis of mission systems.
- Assist in security assessments and authority to operate (ATO) processes.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree with five (5) years of relevant experience or an equivalent background is required.
- Proficiency in Python, LLM integration, and data engineering is essential.
- Experience with static analyzers, RAG frameworks, and both relational and vector databases is expected.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Git, Jira, and Confluence is preferred.
- An active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with RUST, Claude Code, Codex, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
