About the role
Syntech Distribution is seeking a commercially driven and brand-focused professional to lead the Ugreen PC Accessories portfolio in South Africa. The core focus of this role is to grow Ugreen’s presence across its high‑volume accessory categories—cables, hubs, docking stations, chargers, and related peripherals—while also supporting the introduction and expansion of Ugreen’s NAS (Network Attached Storage) solutions as a complementary category.
This position blends strategic brand management with hands‑on execution, channel development, and strong product understanding across both consumer and B2B segments.
Brand Strategy & Portfolio Management • Develop and implement brand strategies for Ugreen’s PC accessories portfolio, ensuring strong positioning, pricing and lifecycle management. • Maintain category leadership across cables, hubs, docking stations, chargers, and other accessories • Support the growth of Ugreen’s NAS category by integrating it into the broader portfolio strategy without detracting from core accessory focus.
Channel Development & Partner Engagement • Build and strengthen relationships with retailers, resellers, and e‑commerce partners to drive accessory sell‑through. • Execute channel‑specific campaigns, merchandising, and promotional initiatives to maximise visibility and conversion. • Introduce NAS solutions to suitable partners—particularly those serving prosumers, home offices, and SMBs—while keeping accessories as the primary revenue driver.
Marketing & Promotions • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop compelling campaigns, digital content, and in‑store activations for the accessory range. • Ensure brand consistency across packaging, advertising, social media, and partner communications. • Create supporting content for NAS where needed (e.g., simple use‑case explanations), ensuring it complements rather than overshadows the accessory portfolio.
Sales Enablement & Forecasting • Equip sales teams with product training, promotional plans, and performance insights for the accessory range. • Provide high‑level NAS training to help teams position the category effectively without requiring deep technical expertise. • Forecast demand and manage inventory planning across all categories, with accessories as the primary focus.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Analysis • Conduct ongoing research into accessory trends, competitor activity, pricing shifts, and consumer behaviour. • Benchmark Ugreen accessories against competing brands to refine messaging and identify gaps. • Monitor NAS market developments to support category expansion in a measured, strategic way.
Vendor Liaison & Reporting • Act as the primary point of contact for Ugreen, ensuring alignment on product roadmap, marketing plans, and performance reporting. • Provide structured reporting on brand performance, campaign ROI, and market insights across both accessories and NAS.
Requirements • 3–5 years of experience in brand management, product marketing, or distribution within consumer electronics or IT accessories. • Proven success managing retail and channel‑driven product portfolios. • Strong understanding of PC accessories and consumer tech trends; familiarity with storage or networking products is advantageous but not essential. • Excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills. • Based in Johannesburg or willing to relocate.
