AI/ML Engineer (Azure AI & Cloud Engineering)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale AI and cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure within a highly regulated financial services environment.

This role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and automated Azure AI, MLOps, and cloud engineering solutions while collaborating closely with cloud infrastructure, security, risk management, and application development teams.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Azure AI services, Terraform, Python, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), cloud security, and AI/ML operationalization.

Key Responsibilities

AI/ML Engineering & MLOps

• Design and implement enterprise AI and machine learning solutions leveraging Azure AI services
• Develop and manage AI/ML pipelines supporting training, deployment, monitoring, and production model lifecycle management
• Apply AIOps/MLOps best practices for scalable AI service delivery and operational automation
• Collaborate with business and development teams to implement AI-driven solutions aligned with business objectives

Azure Cloud Engineering & Automation

• Build and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM templates, Azure CLI, and GitHub Actions
• Develop automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines for cloud and AI service deployments
• Support cloud orchestration, cloud interoperability, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives
• Troubleshoot Azure networking, DNS, NSG, routing, and connectivity issues

Security, Compliance & Governance

• Ensure Azure AI and cloud solutions comply with enterprise security policies, governance standards, and regulatory requirements
• Implement and manage Azure security capabilities including authentication, RBAC, encryption, and data protection controls
• Manage Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and certificate lifecycle processes for Azure PaaS services and applications
• Collaborate with security and risk management teams to mitigate cloud and AI-related risks

API & Platform Integration

• Develop and consume APIs, SDKs, and webhooks for enterprise integrations
• Support multi-directional integration across DevOps platforms, enterprise systems, and cloud environments
• Participate in Agile/Scrum-based DevOps engineering teams delivering modern cloud-native solutions

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience as an AI Engineer, Cloud Platform Engineer, or Azure Cloud Engineer
• 7+ years of experience developing orchestration and automation solutions using:
  • Azure Python SDK
  • Terraform
  • GitHub Actions / GitHub Runners
• Strong hands-on experience with:
  • Azure AI Services
  • Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC)
  • CI/CD Pipelines
  • Terraform Automation
  • Azure CLI
• Experience with AI/ML operationalization, MLOps, and cloud-native automation frameworks
• Strong programming skills in Python, API development, and webhook integrations
• Experience with ARM templates and Azure cloud provisioning
• Strong understanding of Azure security services including:
  • RBAC
  • Authentication & Authorization
  • Data Protection
  • PKI & Certificate Management
• Experience troubleshooting Azure networking and connectivity issues
• Knowledge of cloud interoperability, disaster recovery, monitoring, and business continuity strategies
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities
• Experience working within Agile and DevOps delivery environments

Preferred Skills

• Experience within financial services or regulated enterprise environments
• Strong background in deep learning and natural language processing (NLP) models
• Familiarity with enterprise AI governance and risk management frameworks
• Experience integrating AI services into large-scale enterprise applications
• Exposure to cloud-native analytics and enterprise automation platforms
