Credit Controller – East Rand Gauteng

Salary: R19k excluding incentives, Permanent

Purpose of Position:

Complement Recruitment are recruiting for a Credit Controller for a permanent position based in the East Rand, Boksburg, Johannesburg, Gauteng. The credit controller is responsible for managing and controlling the debtors process

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties: • Collection of outstanding money on the debtor’s book • Reconciliation of customer accounts as needed • Reconciliation of all control accounts • Preparation of credit & debit notes • Preparation of journals • Credit vetting according to Company policy • Obtaining of trade references • Follow-up on account queries • Inter-branch reconciliations & confirmations • Import CATS & Great Plains debit order files • Daily processing of new & cancelled debit orders • Daily coding & printing of EFT from CATS (Standard Bank) • Monthly check of returned debit orders • Knowledge of client portals & loading of invoices • Updating of customer details (Data cleanup) • Send regular feedback on overdue accounts • Adherence to deadlines for monthly reports (month-end)

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements Qualifications And Skills • Grade 12 & Certificate / Diploma in Finance/Credit Management/Debtors/Accounting qualification • 3 years' credit management experience • Own transport, able to work extended hours when required • Must have Credit Control/Debtors experience • Minimum qualification: Matric however we prefer someone with a • Must have a clear criminal and credit record • Must reside in the East Rand • Available to start within 2 weeks

Key Skills • Excellent communication skills • Good command of English • Must be computer literate • Excellent time-management and self-management skills • Excellent administration skills • Basic understanding of debtors • Knowledge of the National Credit Act
