About
Senior Valuation Associate in the Financial Valuation & Advisory practice (Gurgaon) responsible for delivering business valuation, equity valuation, and financial reporting valuation engagements.
Responsibilities
- Undertake assignments across service lines: Business Valuation, Equity Valuation, Financial Reporting Valuations, Private Equity Valuations, Intangible Asset Valuations, Complex financial instrument valuation, and valuation of early‑stage and growth‑stage companies.
- Lead client interviews and discovery sessions; manage project economics, timelines, and engagement deliverables; research target industries and market trends.
- Build and review financial valuation models using methodologies such as DCF Analysis, Comparable Company Multiples, Precedent Transaction Analysis, Market Approach, and Asset‑Based Approach.
- Conduct in‑depth analysis of financial statements, review financial forecast models, and apply IFRS standards relevant to valuations.
- Utilize industry‑standard databases for peer benchmarking, transaction data, and market intelligence; perform quality research to collect and analyze sector data, financial forecasts, and competitor information.
- Work independently on standard engagements, comply with organizational rules and professional standards, and maintain documentation integrity for all engagements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Educational Qualifications: CA (Chartered Accountant), CFA Charterholder or CFA Level II/III candidate, equivalent professional qualifications; additional certifications such as ICAI Registered Valuer, CMA, or CVA are advantageous.
- Technical Skills & Experience: 5‑9 years of hands‑on experience in business/financial valuation, strong understanding of IFRS/Ind AS valuation standards, proficiency with databases, MS Word, and PowerPoint, experience in team management, and excellent client‑facing communication skills.
Desired Profile
Self‑driven, proactive professional with deep technical expertise in valuation methodologies and a proven track record in financial valuation, capable of leading engagements, interacting with senior stakeholders, and continuously improving results.
Requirements
- 59 years of hands-on experience in business / financial valuation
- Strong understanding of IFRS / Ind AS valuation standards
- Proficiency with databases, MS Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience in team management
- Excellent client-facing communication skills
