Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) in accordance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.)
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner
• Account Reconciliation
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts regularly
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial records
• General Ledger Management
  • Maintain and update general ledger entries
  • Review and post journal entries related to financial transactions
• Tax Compliance
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of taxes, including VAT, sales tax, and corporate taxes
  • Keep updated with changes in tax laws and ensure compliance
• Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Assist in the creation and monitoring of budgets, helping departments stay within their financial limits
  • Provide financial analysis to support decision‑making and forecasting
• Audit and Compliance
  • Assist in preparing for audits by ensuring accurate and complete documentation of financial records
  • Maintain compliance with financial regulations, internal controls, and company policies
• Accounts Payable / Receivable
  • Process and manage accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Ensure timely payment of bills and receipts from customers
• Other Duties
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting as needed
  • Support management with financial modeling and strategic planning
  • Perform ad‑hoc financial duties and projects as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
• Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, etc.) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of tax laws and regulations (depending on location)

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification
• Experience with ERP systems
• Experience in a specific industry (e.g., retail, manufacturing) is a plus
