Lead Accountant

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the monthly closing process, ensuring accuracy through meticulous review and preparation of journal entries.
• Conducting thorough account reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
• Playing a crucial role in the year-end audit process, collaborating with auditors.
• Supporting Accounts Payable and Payroll functions to ensure smooth operations.
• Preparing, reviewing, and documenting contracts and write-offs to maintain compliance.
• Assisting with additional Accounting department tasks as directed by the Assistant Coordinator and Controller.
• Creating detailed internal and external financial reports to guide decision-making.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required; Master’s degree in Accounting is highly preferred.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in accounting is essential.
• CPA candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Strong proficiency in computer applications, particularly in Microsoft Excel, Abra, Crystal Reports, and Exact Software Macola is required.
