About the Role:

Are you ready to elevate your career as a Data Scientist? We are searching for a Lead Data Scientist specializing in Agentic AI to spearhead the development of cutting-edge product capabilities designed for the legal domain.

In this pivotal role, you will define strategic initiatives, harnessing the power of machine learning, NLP, and large language models (LLMs) to address complex legal workflows. You will play a critical part in driving experimentation, model development, and evaluation, collaborating closely with engineers to translate your innovative approaches into scalable solutions that meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement advanced NLP, LLM, and generative AI strategies (e.g., RAG, prompt optimization).
• Define sophisticated workflows and cognitive strategies for executing multi-step legal tasks.
• Create effective retrieval methodologies, including hybrid search techniques, and develop evaluation metrics (e.g., relevance, ranking quality).
• Analyze extensive legal datasets to extract valuable insights and enhance model performance.
• Establish best practices for model evaluation and validation methodologies.
• Translate experimental findings into actionable product recommendations and demonstrate business impact.
• Collaborate with product managers, legal experts, and engineers to ensure solutions align with user requirements.
• Mentor and guide junior team members by providing technical leadership in data science and AI.

Requirements:

• Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field (Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, etc.).
• Proven experience in machine learning, NLP, and LLM modeling.
• Extensive background in designing and conducting experiments, with a focus on model evaluation and refinement.
• Experience with generative AI techniques, including prompt engineering and RAG.
• Familiarity with hybrid search methods (semantic and lexical) utilizing embeddings and vector databases.
• Demonstrated ability to design agentic workflows and reasoning strategies, with practical application of frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen) in real-world scenarios.
• Proficiency in Python and data analysis tools.
• Solid grounding in statistics, modeling, and large-scale text analysis.

This role offers a competitive U.S. National Base Pay Range of $104,900 - $174,700, with potential geographic differentials to reflect local market rates. Additionally, the position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
