Founding AI Engineer / Machine Learning Engineer (Startup – Project Helix)

Project Helix is a next-generation AI startup focused on building autonomous decision-making systems across financial markets (stocks, options, crypto, and sports analytics).

We are building an advanced AI platform that can:

This is a ground-floor opportunity to help architect and build a high-performance AI system from scratch.

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly technical, execution-focused AI engineer to join as a founding team member. You will be responsible for designing and building core AI systems, automation pipelines, and intelligent agents.

This is not a maintenance role — you will be building cutting-edge systems from zero to scale.

Responsibilities

• Design and build AI/ML models for prediction and automation • Develop autonomous agent systems (LLMs + decision engines) • Integrate APIs for trading platforms, data providers, and execution systems • Build scalable backend systems (Python, FastAPI, Node, etc.) • Optimize model performance, latency, and reliability • Work directly with the founder on product direction and architecture

Requirements

• Strong experience in Python and backend development • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar) • Familiarity with LLMs, agents, or automation frameworks • Experience working with APIs and real-time data systems • Ability to build independently with minimal supervision • Startup mindset (fast, aggressive execution)

Bonus (Highly Valued)

• Experience with algorithmic trading or financial models • Experience building autonomous systems or AI agents • Knowledge of reinforcement learning or predictive modeling • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP) • Prior startup or founding experience
