About the role

The Job (Responsibilities)

  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams and provide technical accounting guidance to corporate functions (e.g., Treasury, Tax, Controllership) and business units.
  • Responsibility for certain accounting areas such as pension, revenue recognition, leases, financial instruments, and stock compensation.
  • Support quarterly close and reporting processes, including ownership of certain SEC disclosure areas and footnotes.
  • Prepare technical accounting position papers, policies and procedures to support accounting conclusions and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Identify ways to promote efficiencies within the technical accounting process to create a best‑practices environment.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and proposed FASB and SEC reporting pronouncements to assess their impact and ensure successful implementation and disclosures in the Company’s accounting and reporting processes.
  • Supervise, mentor and develop assigned staff.
  • Lead or participate in special projects and initiatives, as necessary.

The Person (Requirements)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA certification required.
  • 6 years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or corporate accounting roles, with a focus on technical accounting for large public manufacturing companies.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements; experience with IFRS is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with technical accounting research and writing technical memoranda.
  • This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship (H‑1B, OPT/CPT, TN, etc.).
