Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced R&D professional with strong technical expertise in Solar LED lighting products. The ideal candidate should have deep product knowledge, hands-on experience in developing new LED luminaires, and the ability to drive innovation. This role involves leading product design, development, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Roles And Responsibilities

• Lead Product Development
  Lead the design and development of new solar LED lighting products from concept to commercialization.

• Product Design & Innovation
  Conceptualize and develop innovative LED luminaires, solar lighting systems, and energy‑efficient solutions.

• Research & Technology Evaluation
  Research new technologies and evaluate components such as LEDs, drivers, optics, batteries, charge controllers, and heat sinks.

• Prototype Development
  Prepare BOM (Bill of Materials), develop prototypes, and conduct product validation and testing.

• Performance Improvement
  Analyze existing products and implement improvements in efficiency, thermal performance, reliability, and cost optimization.

• Testing & Compliance
  Ensure products meet industry standards such as BIS, IEC, LM79, LM80, TM21, IP ratings, and surge protection requirements.

• Lighting Laboratory Testing
  Perform and supervise testing using equipment such as Goniophotometer, Integrating Sphere, Environmental Chambers, and Surge Generators.

• Cross‑Functional Coordination
  Work closely with production, quality, procurement, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product development and launch.

• Technical Documentation
  Prepare and maintain technical drawings, product specifications, test reports, and compliance documentation.

• Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting
  Conduct root cause analysis of product failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Certification & External Lab Coordination
  Coordinate with third‑party laboratories for testing, certifications, and regulatory approvals.

• Technical Support
  Provide technical expertise to sales and marketing teams during customer meetings and project discussions.

• Continuous Innovation
  Drive new ideas and technology adoption to enhance the company’s solar lighting product portfolio.

Qualifications And Experience

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• Additional certification or training in LED lighting technology, solar energy systems, or product design is an advantage.

Experience

• 7–10 years of experience in Research & Development (R&D) within the Solar LED lighting industry.
• Proven experience in designing and developing LED luminaires, solar street lights, and energy‑efficient lighting solutions.
• Hands‑on experience with LED drivers, solar charge controllers, batteries, optics, and thermal management.
• Experience in product prototyping, validation testing, and product lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of lighting standards and testing procedures such as LM79, LM80, TM21, BIS, IEC, IP ratings, surge protection, CRI, and CCT.
• Experience working with lighting laboratory equipment such as Integrating Sphere, Goniophotometer, Environmental Chambers, and Surge Generators.
• Ability to lead R&D projects independently from concept to product launch.
• Experience in coordinating with cross‑functional teams and external testing laboratories for certification and compliance.
