Your daily life

The Land and Air Systems activity based at the Massy site is a leader in air traffic control command and control systems and air defense radar systems. You will be integrated into the French & NATO Business Unit (PFN) teams of Thales CWS (Customer Worldwide Services), and in contact with the engineering, software development, and system and radar support teams.

As part of an Operational Maintenance (MCO) project for a Ground-to-Air Defense System, as Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities

  • Leading and coordinating internal and external teams (including the client) in collaboration with the entity's permanent organization.
  • Ensuring the smooth progress of work packages.
  • Managing the project and ensuring stakeholder commitments are met, while controlling risks and opportunities.
  • Managing and updating the project's financial aspects: Revenue, Cash.
  • Mastering requirements, deadlines, and financial aspects throughout the project duration.
  • Updating execution references: project structuring, work package sheet descriptions, partner and supplier contractual data, project plans, financial structure, budget and costs, schedule.
  • Updating the Project's original references in collaboration with the Bid Manager.
  • Ensuring project quality and overall satisfaction of the client and stakeholders.
  • Managing legal and contractual obligations and controlling disputes.
  • Conducting project reporting meetings.
  • Managing project closure by capitalizing on and sharing acquired experience.

You will be expected to work as part of a team with stakeholders from SIMMT, AdT, and AAE. Professional travel to all regiments and air bases will be required.

Your profile

With an engineering degree or equivalent, you have expertise in the deployment and organization of military system support; knowledge of air defense systems is a plus.

These systems integrate real-time embedded software components, sensors (optronics and radar), radio, data links, missiles, servomechanisms, and networks.

  • You have recognized experience in project management in the defense sector.
  • You demonstrate a methodical approach to managing multidisciplinary teams in a complex environment.
  • You are recognized for your commitment, curiosity, and customer service orientation.
  • You are rigorous in applying action plans and decisions.
  • You know how to establish good relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • You have a sense of compromise and negotiation.
  • You have a strong ability to work in a team.
  • You have at least 6 years of experience in the deployment and operational maintenance (MCO) process of systems and radars.
  • Knowledge in one or more of the following areas is a plus:
    • Integrated Logistic Support,
    • Radar sensor,
    • Communication,
    • Tactical data link,
