We are looking for a technically strong and commercially driven Sales & Field Application Engineer to join our growing Gauteng team.
Position Overview
This role combines technical engineering support with sales responsibility, enabling you to guide customers from concept through to implementation. You will play a key role in driving revenue, supporting design decisions, and delivering tailored electronic solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities and expanding existing accounts
- Provide technical support on product selection, integration, and system-level design
- Collaborate with global suppliers and internal teams to deliver tailored solutions
- Deliver product presentations, demonstrations, and technical training
- Prepare accurate quotes and proposals for customer inquiries and tenders
- Maintain CRM systems, sales reports, and opportunity pipelines
- Attend supplier workshops, industry events, and client visits (field-based role)
Minimum Requirements
- National Diploma/Degree in Electronic or Electrical Engineering
- 3–5+ years’ experience in technical sales, FAE, or component distribution
- Strong understanding of electronic components (analog, digital, power, sensors, MCUs)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Self-driven, organized, and customer-focused
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
