Cologne Intelligence
Frankfurt am Main · flexible Full-time Senior 3w ago
About the role
Your role in the team
- You represent Cologne Intelligence in the consulting and implementation projects of our clients and demonstrate the potential of Data Science and AI to stakeholders.
- You collaboratively shape the path with clients and the team from the initial inquiry through data analysis and system design to the deployment of the production solution.
- You establish modern MLOps processes with automated pipelines, including model and prompt versioning.
- You identify relevant data references and prepare them for further analysis, with your work only concluding once tested, operationally viable models are in place.
- You actively contribute to the team, e.g., through code reviews, introducing new tools, or sharing exciting professional insights.
What we offer
- An open-minded team that makes it easy for you to get started in the world of Cologne Intelligence.
- The principle that your time is valuable to us: We work reasonable hours, meetups are considered working time, and with a sabbatical, you can take a break when needed.
- Much remote flexibility instead of the traditional consulting life on the road: work from home or in our offices in Cologne or Frankfurt with occasional assignments across Germany.
- Our belief that your thirst for knowledge should be satisfied! Therefore, we give you full flexibility with a freely allocable training budget for your personal development. And you'll also receive a Udemy Business account as a bonus!
- Modern equipment with free choice of OS and hardware.
- Great events with your colleagues: hackathons, Open Fridays, sports events, and our Social Day.
- The opportunity to actively shape the company as a member of our CI One employee cooperative.

- Whether classic Machine Learning or Deep Learning - you know which tool fits when.
- You not only know how to train models but also how to deploy them for users, for example with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- GenAI is not new territory for you: You are already familiar with RAG architectures, LLM APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, etc.), or Vector Databases from practical experience.
- German flows fluently (C1) off your lips.
Experience
- Cloud or On-Premise? If you're already familiar with Azure or AWS and have some initial experience with containerization and perhaps even Kubernetes, all the better!
- A plus but not a must: You already have experience in a consulting context and are familiar with MLOps tooling, e.g., MLflow, Weights & Biases, CI/CD pipelines for ML workflows, or model monitoring.
Education
- You combine a deep theoretical understanding of complex AI and ML concepts, e.g., through a Master's or diploma degree, with several years of practical experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or AI Engineering.
