Mechanical Design & Drafting

• Develop 2D and 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
• Create detailed drawings, assemblies, layout plans, fabrication details, and BOMs.
• Review and update existing mechanical designs to improve performance, durability, and cost efficiency.
• Support prototype development, testing, and design refinement.

Improvement & Optimization Activities

• Identify improvement opportunities in existing mechanical systems, equipment, and construction processes.
• Apply engineering analysis, root‑cause analysis (RCA), and improvement methodologies (Lean, Kaizen, value engineering).
• Optimize designs for manufacturability, installation efficiency, and material usage reduction.
• Improve mechanical workflows between engineering, procurement, and site teams.

Technical Collaboration

• Work closely with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to resolve design‑related issues.
• Provide technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Support procurement with technical specifications and evaluation of mechanical components.

Quality Compliance & Safety

• Ensure all designs comply with UAE mechanical codes, quality standards, and project requirements.
• Prepare and maintain design documentation, revision logs, and technical reports.
• Support audits and inspections related to mechanical design and improvements.
• Conduct risk assessments for mechanical design changes.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare improvement project reports, feasibility studies, and cost‑benefit analyses.
• Maintain accurate CAD/SolidWorks design libraries, templates, and standards.
• Track KPIs such as cost savings, reduction in rework, and design cycle time improvements.

Required Experience
