We are looking for a Senior IT Project Manager to join our team.

Requirements

  • Masters degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or a related technical field.
  • Over 8 years of experience managing large-scale enterprise IT projects with progressive responsibility throughout planning, execution, and delivery phases.
  • In absence of a Masters degree, a Bachelors degree in a relevant technical discipline plus at least 10 years of related project management experience is necessary.
  • Proven experience leading complex IT initiatives within federal or public-sector environments, emphasizing cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or Azure DevOps.
  • Exceptional capability in managing schedules, budgets, risks, change control, and team dynamics on substantial projects.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and organizational capabilities.
  • PMPยฎ, PMI-ACPยฎ, or a comparable certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Direct the complete system development lifecycle (SDLC) for multiple simultaneous IT projects using Agile, Waterfall, DevOps, or a combination of these methodologies.
  • Facilitate continuous enhancement of project management techniques across teams and initiatives.
  • Lead project discussions, drive decision-making, and resolve conflicts or obstacles in partnership with team leaders and stakeholders.
  • Guarantee that project documentation, deliverables, and systems adhere to agency standards, technical specifications, and federal IT regulations.
  • Monitor resource allocation and modify plans as necessary to achieve deadlines and business goals.
  • Deliver ongoing updates and written reports on project progress, milestones, risks, financials, and dependencies to agency leadership and other significant stakeholders.
  • Convert stakeholder and user requirements into actionable tasks, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and technical limitations.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, architecture, security, and operations teams to ensure the timely and quality delivery of outputs.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, risk assessments, communication strategies, and status reports.
  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, work breakdown structures (WBS), and criteria for success.
