Role Overview
As a Technical Specialist at Medtronic, you will be responsible for advancing existing technology and introducing new technology and therapies. Your primary focus will be on R&D, systems, and initiatives related to new technologies or therapies, from design to implementation. You will work closely with stakeholders to achieve desired results and may also mentor colleagues or direct the work of lower-level professionals. You will be an individual contributor with a focus on advancing technology and introducing new therapies. The majority of your time will be spent on R&D, systems, and initiatives related to new technologies or therapies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and program integrated software algorithms for structured and unstructured environments
- Communicate insights and algorithms effectively
- Use machine learning and statistical modeling techniques to improve product/system performance
- Translate algorithms and technical specifications into code using current programming languages and technologies
- Complete programming, testing, and debugging tasks
- Document procedures for installation and maintenance
- Apply deep learning technologies in various areas such as virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and robotics
- Work with large-scale computing frameworks, data analysis systems, and modeling environments
