Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Word Press Technical Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of Word Press-based web development projects. In this role, you will bridge communication between clients, designers, developers, QA, and leadership to ensure alignment, efficiency, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
From discovery to deployment, you’ll define scope, manage resources, maintain timelines, and champion proactive communication.
You will also leverage AI tools to enhance estimation accuracy, automate workflows, and improve delivery efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage end-to-end delivery of Word Press projects (custom themes, plugins, Woo Commerce, multisite, etc.)
  • Collaborate with clients to gather requirements, create briefs, and define milestones
  • Translate business and technical requirements into project plans and actionable tasks
  • Coordinate across developers, designers, QA, SEO, and other stakeholders
  • Lead sprint planning, daily standups, and weekly reviews using tools like Click Up or Jira
  • Track timelines, billable hours, delivery margins, and resource utilisation
  • Enforce adherence to SOPs, coding standards, and QA protocols
  • Conduct risk assessments, manage scope creep, and escalate blockers
  • Maintain clear client communication (status updates, risks, delays)
  • Utilize AI tools (e.g., Chat GPT, Copilot) for effort estimation, requirement refinement, and documentation.
  • Leverage AI-powered QA and testing tools to improve bug detection and reduce rework.
  • Drive automation in repetitive tasks such as reporting, status updates, and project tracking.

Must-Have Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years in Word Press projects
  • Strong understanding of Word Press architecture (themes, plugins, ACF, Elementor, Gutenberg, Woo Commerce, HTML, CSS)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Proficiency in Click Up, Jira, or Trello
  • Excellent documentation and client communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Git workflows, deployment processes, and basic server environments
  • Experience working with distributed teams
  • Practical exposure to AI tools for productivity, documentation, or development assistance.

Bonus Skills (Good-to-Have)

  • Knowledge of technical SEO, performance optimisation, and ADA compliance.
  • Experience with AI tools for QA automation, estimation, and workflow optimisation.
  • Experience in a white-label or digital agency environment
  • Understanding of headless Word Press or modern frontend frameworks
  • Experience implementing AI-driven process improvements in delivery workflows
